Freycinet Tasmania
6 Days
Monday 24th - Saturday 29th October
2005
Dear friends and fellow artists,
We would like to offer you the opportunity to join Leoni and painters from around Australia for a six day pastel painting experience in one of the most “paintable” and striking environments in the world.
In the magnificent surroundings of Freycinet Peninsular on the East Coast of Tasmania not only will you will find the most wonderful place to relax and enjoy ... but October is a spectacular time of the year to witness the sunsets on the Hazards and to experience the power and drama of the weather that can transform the landscape into “your next painting.”
Accommodation will be at the Edge of the Bay Resort, a boutique resort experience where we will be treated to some of the best cuisine that Tasmania can offer while viewing the stunning Hazards Mountains and the Freycinet National Park across Coles Bay.
The indoor conference facilities afford us all the creature comforts we need with views across the bay for those days when we can’t paint outside. Every room has a magnificent view so that you can keep painting as long as you wish!
You will receive continuous tuition from Leoni on techniques of pastel painting focusing on interpreting the landscape. You will have the opportunity to paint outdoors whenever the weather permits and develop your plein air painting skills.
In this painting course Leoni will be focusing on;
The evenings will afford us the opportunity to relax over a beautiful meal, discuss the day’s work informally, have review sessions, watch a number of demonstrations and share ideas.
Students at all stages of development and ability will have the opportunity to develop their skills and experience at this seminar with Leoni.
Be a part of the experience...
